If you had to write your autobiography in 6 words, what would you write?

Pastor's-kid Flute Sarah Sociology Edie Coffee
What's on your "To-Do" list today? What are you most looking forward to and what are you most dreading?
Maybe I should post on Vox again. Today, after Edie's typical 6am (late today!) wake up, we have already had omelettes and are nearly dressed for the day. It's 7:30 as I type. Sarah has a job interview at 11am, around the corner from the place we're getting our eye exams and new glasses. All of that will be before noon.
And - oh yeah - patch our Flat Tire, before Sarah's interview. Last night I put a space saver (do you say donut?) on, but we need to fix it and get the original tire back on.
Then off to the far west suburbs! My nephew's 4th birthday party is today - of which we have no gift. We have something to return at Target anyway, so maybe that's a 2-in-1. On the way home, we have to return these little tiki lamps we acquired. Hopefully World Market will let us exchange for a wine rack or something. WM is only located in the suburbs, so that's definitely on today's schedule.

This is odd. Last August I started this post and never finished. No reason to waste it. Here is a photo (thank you, Google Image) of every car I've ever owned. Rather than tell you about it, I'll let you guess. Special bonus for you aficionados: Yes, that's a 1978 Mustang II AKA Pinto!
Not pictured: the Chicago El.

I'm not one to judge, but this hunt gave me a reason to revisit Go Fug Yourself. I wish they'd do men from time to time, but I have to agree that fastening shoes over your trousers is a mistake. I'd cut and paste the picture but surely there's some copywright issue or something.

I've wanted to post music on Blogger for like eight months now, but you have to pay music services for the web space, at least as far as I could figure. Then I noticed Meghan posting all these tunes on Vox. So I tried it myself. And Lo, a Music File appeared.
I'm not sure about the meaning of "rare" here - it's not like any of my music is an archaeological find or anything. But Amy Correia is an artist that I know from coffee shop hopping on the East Coast. Then she played at Schubas after we moved to Chicago.
The Bike is my favorite song by her, and I'm pretty sure most folks haven't heard it.
What's your favorite blend or brand of coffee or tea?
Love the coffee questions. Not as much of a tea fiend, but coffee has a couple of layers in the term "favorite." My favorite brand is Melitta, but only because I get Melitta for free, thanks to an Uncle-in-law. Free = favorite because it's the most reasonable and quite honestly life sustaining choice, and has been for so long.
However my favorite coffee to drink is a micro-roast. Sort of like micro-breweries, we have a micro-roast in the area, Metropolis coffee. They serve generally dark roast, and I love it in the afternoon or early evening. Way better than Starbucks, which all politicking aside was my favorite before I knew about Metropolis.
Best part: my newest hang out serves only Metropolis coffee, and is much less busy than the actual Metropolis location. So I'm not only frequenting local business, but the coffee is local too. Well the roast is... I'll not do that bit of extended research for now.
