Show us a superstition you believe in.
Oh, I know this is a such a sketchy superstition...but really, aren't they all. Anyway, I've had my tarot cards read several times and, I swear, my life is unfolding by the cards. It freaks me out a little...I've talked about this already on this blog. It's probably not helping my personal credibility at all but that's how the cards fall sometimes, isn't it? (See what I did there...) I am absolutely not at the point of making life decisions based on the cards but, as a hobby, they're weirdly fascinating. And they somehow let me engage the idea that there might be some force bigger than us that influences our lives in odd ways. My favorite card up to this point: The Hanged Man (p.s.--it doesn't mean what you think it does!)

Submitted by Strive2Be.I thought I'd undertake a spiritual journey...who knew it would take as many years to read as it does to climb a seven storey mountain. And it has to be very nearly as painful. But then, there's that sentence that shows up and makes me think for days. So I'm sticking with it.

Oh man...Menudo. This was the first music I ever personally owned. It was on LP and I was 5. I must have played this about, oh, 7000x in a row every afternoon in the basement of our house. (Of course, that's where I was ushered after having played it upstairs about, oh, 100x--the basement was always better b/c we had free reign down there).
Anyway, I would sit and just study the album cover while it would just play. I will say this--I was light years ahead of the trend. That's Ricky Martin in the lower left corner--about 10 years before he really hit it big. Even in my youth I was something of a prophet.
Those were the days, huh? LOVED IT!
